HAMADAN RUG - 195cm X 122cm (6-4ft x 4ft)

This rug is handknotted in Hamadan. Situated in the western part of Iran, 300 kilometres west of Teheran. It is one of the worlds oldest cities and is mentioned under the name of Ekbatana in the Bible. The city is a centre for trading with carpets that are manufactured in the nearby villages and cities. Made using hand spun wool and natural dyes.
