HANDMADE RUGS FROM EMMA MELLOR LONDON
Handmade in a beautiful and unusual colour palette of deep raspberry. The design which is geometric in nature carries within it a delicate floral display picked out in jewel like tones of ochre, blue and emerald green. The border is hand knotted in an eight point star design which is used as a symbol of happiness and fertility. This really is a beautiful piece which would suit both a contemporary or traditionally styled home.

Made from the finest hand-spun, vegetable-dyed wool, this Gendje rug is from a very limited production by Afghan weavers.
Produced using locally sourced wool, that is gently washed with water and soap, then hand spun and dyed using natural colourants from plants, berries and madder root.
-
This rug is of exceptional quality, fantastic colours and a brilliant example of contemporary Afghan weaving.
